Just Because Cards Series. Card #1

So here's the scoop. I just picked up the Just Because Cards cartridge at Michaels this weekend and have decided to challenge myself to make every card on it. I love making and giving cards but i'll admit, some of these ones just don't speak to me. So i'm going to do my best to make them my own. I hope you'll join along for the fun. Anyways, on to the details...

This card was cut at 5" which left me in a predicament when it came to making the envelope. Unfortunately a 5" doesn't cut on the 12x12 mat. Luckily I had a piece of poster board and a 12x24 ,mat to save the day.

I was a bit sceptical about how the smaller pieces would cut, especially in the title, but they were no problem at all. I'm also very fond of my patterned paper and not loading them on a card is difficult for me. That's one of the reasons, I appreciate my cuttlebug folders. They are a great way to add visual interest.
Anyways, onto the very first card in my "Just Because Cards" series.

I used a brush tip marker to outline the letters to help the tone on tone pop a little more. A green jewel for the "i", signo white gel pen for the spots, and brown dye ink for a little extra distress.

The truck got the royal treatment with more white gel pen, and glimmer misted flowers.

Supplies used: cardstock: SU and dcwv, swiss dots embossing folder, (forgot the flower one), signo gel pen, SU marker, glimmer mist, SU ribbon, SU flower punch
So why should you follow me along this journey? Well at the end of my adventure with this cartridge, I'm going to choose a few lucky followers to recieve a selection of these cards. So if you like what you see, become a follower and let's have some fun!
