Some Challenges...

Hi all! So happy it's Friday but what a busy weekend we have, I'm sure that's the case for most though:) This will probably be my last post until early next week but I had to sneak in a card or two before the trick or treating madness begins! I drew from a few different areas for these cards.

First up is for both casestudy12 and trigger tuesday. These both lent themselves quite nicely to each other.

Supplies used: Cardstock: SU; Stamps: SU; Ink: SU; Accessories: Ribbon: SU, spellbinders diecuts, cuttlebug and preserves folder

The next card is using CPS190 for the sketch. I stayed along the same colour palette since that's what was on my table.

Supplies used: Cardstock: SU Stamps: SU Ink: SU; Accessories: glossy accents, twill tape
Have a great weekend and thanks for peeking in!

Boo Banner!

Well the final countdown to Halloween is here! We don't make a big deal about Halloween but the kids do go trick or treating and we hand out candy. I wanted something that was kid friendly to spruce up our front door. I'm super pumped about how this turned out! For now it's on the mantel but come Sunday it will be on our door:)

The spider, ghosts, and bat cuts are all from the paper doll dress-up cricut cartridge.

The Boo is from cuttin up! The spider web is a free svg file that I used with my make the cut software. You can find the file here.

The Banner cuts are from a file I purchased over at twopeasinabucket.com. You can see the file here

Supplies used: Cardstock: SU; Patterned: K&Company Accessories: Ribbon: Michaels (sheer) SU grosgrain and gingham, Glitter ritz, Sharpie white paint pen, googly eyes, sewing machine and thread.
I had a ton of fun making this and I hope you enjoy!

Friday Fun!

Can I hear a woot woot! It's Friday and there are two sporting events on this evening that DH wants to catch so that means guilt-free crafting time:) I even snuck in a card while the kidlet's were catching up on their prerequisite morning kids show. I'm hoping to work on a halloween banner for our front door tonight so stay tuned for that! Onto the here and now however, is this card I made for both the perfectly placed pleats contest over at Moxie Fab world, and cs11 at the Case Study challenge blog. I pulled the colour palette from this funky butterfly paper from DCWV.

Super Saturday:)

What a great day we had today. Two sets of friends built new houses right beside each other and they both had their open houses today. It was a great opportunity to connect with a lot of people that we knew. I have a busy day tomorrow so I thought I better get in a few cards tonight:)
The first one is for sss78 with the added challenge of sparkle!

Supplies used: Cardstock: Recollections and Georgia pacific ; Patterned: K&Company ; Ink: Ranger distress ink ; Stamps: SU; Accessories: Irock, Glimmer mist, metallic pencil crayons.
This one is for CPS189. These two sketches are actually very similar so I wanted to go for two completely different feels. I think that was achieved...
Supplies used: Cardstock: Recollections, SU ; Patterned: Echo Park ; Ink: Copic Markers (for the grass) ; Stamps : Cornish Heritage Farms ; Accessories: Buttons, metallic pencil crayons (SU) Sharpie paint pen, Cricut Expression with Mickey and Friends cart, Cosmo Cricket Rub-ons

TGIF!

Woot woot for Friday! I'm sitting here on my front porch watching the kids ride their bikes. What another beautiful fall day. This weather has been so atypical for a fall in BC. I certainly am so appreciative of these sunny days:) Onto the card though, I made this for the embellish felt challenge. In addition to using felt on your project, you also have to use pink, brown, red, and yellow for your colour palette.

Supplies used: Cardstock: SU. Patterned: DCWV sweet stack and SU. Additional: Flower (recollections) Coffee Shop glimmer mist, ribbon and button (SU), Cricut Expression and Cindy Loo cart, pearls (from my stash) Felt (Michaels) Spellbinders Die

Thanks for stopping in!

Good evening ladies. I hope all is well. I'm wanting to pop back into my craft room before DH gets home from school tonight so I'm making this quick!

This is for casestudy#10 I pretty much cased everything about the layout:) I was feeling a touch in the holiday spirit. This is a beautiful paper collection from little yellow bicycle. I snapped up a bunch last year on clearance. It has a beautiful sheen to it.

ETA: If you have any tips on how to get better pictures at night PLEASE help me out. Right now I'm basically holding up my OTT light but there has to be a better way!

#2 for the day!

Amazing isn't it? Two posts in one day? I'm just getting started in my craft room so hopefully I won't run out of steam for a while. This card is for sssc88. I'm using it for the card class that I've been teaching. There were 16 ladies there this past Tuesday so I have to keep the design simple. I'm also experimenting with my Ott lite and taking pictures at night:) So anyhow... onto the Card.

Supplies Used: Cardstock: Bazzill and watercolour paper. Patterned: Basic Grey Nook and Pantry line. Ink: Stampin Up markers in Always Artichoke and Ruby Red, Memento Black. Stamps: SU and Stampendous. Bling: Nestibilities (first time using!) Cuttlebug and embossing folder from the preserves theme pack, liquid pearls by Ranger, Ribbon from Michaels.
Have a great night all!
Sarah

The glorious days of fall!

Hi All! Even though it's been a little over a week since my last post, I definately have not been idle:) I recovered all my dining room chairs to a kid-friendly faux leather vinyl and I'm so pumped about the way they turned out. A friend Anna, taught me how to sew and I think I might be in love! What a nice change of pace. So here's a pic of my first ever sewing project and the cutest model ever! (Excuse the sifto salt!)

You'll also notice in the picture one of the other projects I did today. This was so ridiculously easy. I got the idea here. I used my cricut expression and the border feature on the Mickey and Friends cart. This is only the first coat of mod podge but I wanted to snap a pic before we lost all our light.

I'm off to my craft room to work on some scrapping and card challenges and will be back later with those creations. Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by.

The Sweetest Thing!

Happy Friday All! How has your day been? I've had an amazing one. I got a rare afternoon date with DH. We sat out on the patio at Milestone's and had a fantastic meal. The kids and I just got inside from being on the slip and slide. Unreal to have this kind of weather in October! I also had a chance to get into my craft room, yeah!!! This card takes advantage of two challenges. The first is for the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog with a challenge9 to use both ribbon and fall colours in your creation. The other one is for The Sweetest Thing blog. Both of these are fantastic sites for inspiration and I have to say I've fallen in love with sweet sunday sketch over at The Sweetest Thing. This one is for choose your favorite sketch which is sscs84.

Onto the card, I love it when you start to dig through your stash of craft stuff and find lost treasures! The rub ons, ribbon, and trim were all hiding at the bottom of my drawer and the paper was scraps! Doesn't get better than that! Supplies used: Cardstock: SU, Michaels recollection market spice pack. Patterned: DCWV farmers market and natural stacks Bling: Cricut Expression and lacy labels cart, flower trim: Prima, Ribbon: SU, Rub ons: Sorry, I have no idea!

Thank-you so much for checking out my little corner of the www!
