Two in cards in one day? Wow I really must be neglecting my kidlets... Quiet time has arrived so I'm posting this quickly and hopefully I can squeeze out one more for the day. This is for casestudy#20. Obviously the colour palette screamed valentines to me and the clean look of the inspiration card led me to this version. The cherub is from the love struck cricut cart. He's cut at 4.25 inches.
Supplies used: Cardstock: Bazzill and SU; Ribbon: Michaels; Stickers: Kaisercraft
Good morning everyone! I had some time last night to play with my new stamp from thegreetingfarm. She is so sweet. This is a digi stamp and I'll be seeing more of them arriving onto my computer at some point I'm sure! This little girl is for this trigger tuesday challenge, luckily the have it for two weeks or I would have missed out on it:) The stripes were the inspiration for me. I have to admit, I'm super pumped that I got her hair to look half decent. I'm not a great at colouring but I have to say that it's not to shabby!
Supplies Used: Cardstock: SU and recollections; Patterned: Echo Park, DCWV; Stamps: cupcake anya (greetingfarm) and SU ; Ink: Memento black and Copics; Bling: Stickles, Irock, pink rhinestones are from stash.
Wow, with all the chaos of Christmas, starting a new business, and life, my poor little blog got badly neglected. I've been spending time in my craft room but nothing has been captured on camera:) Until today that is. What a breath of fresh air it was to create something not red and green! This is made for cps year in review I chose sketch 195, it just fit the mood I was in! We're off to Grandma's for Christmas dinner tonight so I'll try to craft and post later again tomorrow!
Cardstock: SU, Georgia Pacific white; Patterned: DCWV Nursery stack ; Image and Sentiment: off my computer, Background Hero arts; Ink: SU, copic markers; Ribbon: SU
Hi all! So happy it's Friday but what a busy weekend we have, I'm sure that's the case for most though:) This will probably be my last post until early next week but I had to sneak in a card or two before the trick or treating madness begins! I drew from a few different areas for these cards.
Well the final countdown to Halloween is here! We don't make a big deal about Halloween but the kids do go trick or treating and we hand out candy. I wanted something that was kid friendly to spruce up our front door. I'm super pumped about how this turned out! For now it's on the mantel but come Sunday it will be on our door:)
The spider, ghosts, and bat cuts are all from the paper doll dress-up cricut cartridge.
The Boo is from cuttin up! The spider web is a free svg file that I used with my make the cut software. You can find the file here.
The Banner cuts are from a file I purchased over at twopeasinabucket.com. You can see the file here
Supplies used: Cardstock: SU; Patterned: K&Company Accessories: Ribbon: Michaels (sheer) SU grosgrain and gingham, Glitter ritz, Sharpie white paint pen, googly eyes, sewing machine and thread.
I had a ton of fun making this and I hope you enjoy!
Can I hear a wootwoot! It's Friday and there are two sporting events on this evening that DH wants to catch so that means guilt-free crafting time:) I even snuck in a card while the kidlet's were catching up on their prerequisite morning kids show. I'm hoping to work on a halloween banner for our front door tonight so stay tuned for that! Onto the here and now however, is this card I made for both the perfectly placed pleats contest over at Moxie Fab world, and cs11 at the Case Study challenge blog. I pulled the colour palette from this funky butterfly paper from DCWV.
Supplies used: Cardstock: SU, Recollections; Patterned: SU and DCWV; Stamps: SU Ink: Memento Black, and Copics; Accessories: Sharpie Paint Pen, Adhesive Pearls, Stickles, Glimmer Mist, White Flower (recollections)
Oh how I love it when the kids cooperate at quiet time! I got to play around with two challenges this afternoon. First up is for kazan's sketch 64 The butterfly is done using the emboss resist technique. I have to say I've been having some fun lately with the embossing powders.
Supplies used: Cardstock: Georgia Pacific, SU, recollections; Patterned: K&Company; Ink: SU, versamark; Stamps: SU; Accessories: Cuttlebug and d'vine swirls folder, cricut expression with storybook and holiday cake carts, white embossing powder, crystals (irock)
The next card is for SSSC89. For some reason a male card was what happened:) Not usually my standard fare. What a fun sketch though!
Supplies used: Cardstock: SU; Patterned: SU; Stamps: SU Ink: Ranger Distress inks and Stazon; Accessories: Circle punch, UTEE, ribbon, antique brads.
What a great day we had today. Two sets of friends built new houses right beside each other and they both had their open houses today. It was a great opportunity to connect with a lot of people that we knew. I have a busy day tomorrow so I thought I better get in a few cards tonight:) The first one is for sss78 with the added challenge of sparkle!
Wootwoot for Friday! I'm sitting here on my front porch watching the kids ride their bikes. What another beautiful fall day. This weather has been so atypical for a fall in BC. I certainly am so appreciative of these sunny days:) Onto the card though, I made this for the embellish felt challenge. In addition to using felt on your project, you also have to use pink, brown, red, and yellow for your colour palette.
Supplies used: Cardstock: SU. Patterned: DCWV sweet stack and SU. Additional: Flower (recollections) Coffee Shop glimmer mist, ribbon and button (SU), Cricut Expression and Cindy Loo cart, pearls (from my stash) Felt (Michaels) Spellbinders Die
Good evening ladies. I hope all is well. I'm wanting to pop back into my craft room before DH gets home from school tonight so I'm making this quick!
This is for casestudy#10 I pretty much cased everything about the layout:) I was feeling a touch in the holiday spirit. This is a beautiful paper collection from little yellow bicycle. I snapped up a bunch last year on clearance. It has a beautiful sheen to it.
Supplies used: Cardstock: Georgia Pacific, SU. Patterned: Little Yellow Bicycle. Stamp: Stampendous. Ink: Versamark and SU soft sky. Bling: Ribbon from Michaels and SU detail embossing powder in silver, gold, and clear.
ETA: If you have any tips on how to get better pictures at night PLEASE help me out. Right now I'm basically holding up my OTT light but there has to be a better way!
Could I have a drumroll please? This is my bloggy record, 3 posts in one day! Must be making up for lost time. I had some fun catching up on challenges tonight. The first one is for sfytt46 First can I say that I loved playing along with this one? I went all shabby chic which isn't really my style but I love the result.
Supplies used: Cardstock: SU Patterned: K&Company Stamps: SU Ink: SU Bling: Twine and a prima flower.
The next one is showcasing a tired mind! Not quite what I had hoped for but here it is anyways. Made this for the sketch at Our Creative Corner.

Amazing isn't it? Two posts in one day? I'm just getting started in my craft room so hopefully I won't run out of steam for a while. This card is for sssc88. I'm using it for the card class that I've been teaching. There were 16 ladies there this past Tuesday so I have to keep the design simple. I'm also experimenting with my Ott lite and taking pictures at night:) So anyhow... onto the Card.
Supplies Used: Cardstock: Bazzill and watercolour paper. Patterned: Basic Grey Nook and Pantry line. Ink: Stampin Up markers in Always Artichoke and Ruby Red, Memento Black. Stamps: SU and Stampendous. Bling: Nestibilities (first time using!) Cuttlebug and embossing folder from the preserves theme pack, liquid pearls by Ranger, Ribbon from Michaels.
Hi All! Even though it's been a little over a week since my last post, I definately have not been idle:) I recovered all my dining room chairs to a kid-friendly faux leather vinyl and I'm so pumped about the way they turned out. A friend Anna, taught me how to sew and I think I might be in love! What a nice change of pace. So here's a pic of my first ever sewing project and the cutest model ever! (Excuse the sifto salt!)
You'll also notice in the picture one of the other projects I did today. This was so ridiculously easy. I got the idea here. I used my cricut expression and the border feature on the Mickey and Friends cart. This is only the first coat of mod podge but I wanted to snap a pic before we lost all our light.
I'm off to my craft room to work on some scrapping and card challenges and will be back later with those creations. Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by.
Happy Friday All! How has your day been? I've had an amazing one. I got a rare afternoon date with DH. We sat out on the patio at Milestone's and had a fantastic meal. The kids and I just got inside from being on the slip and slide. Unreal to have this kind of weather in October! I also had a chance to get into my craft room, yeah!!! This card takes advantage of two challenges. The first is for the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog with a challenge9 to use both ribbon and fall colours in your creation. The other one is for The Sweetest Thing blog. Both of these are fantastic sites for inspiration and I have to say I've fallen in love with sweet sunday sketch over at The Sweetest Thing. This one is for choose your favorite sketch which is sscs84.
Onto the card, I love it when you start to dig through your stash of craft stuff and find lost treasures! The rub ons, ribbon, and trim were all hiding at the bottom of my drawer and the paper was scraps! Doesn't get better than that! Supplies used: Cardstock: SU, Michaels recollection market spice pack. Patterned: DCWV farmers market and natural stacks Bling: Cricut Expression and lacy labels cart, flower trim: Prima, Ribbon: SU, Rub ons: Sorry, I have no idea!
Thank-you so much for checking out my little corner of the www! Sarah
Wow, we are getting a comeback of summer in the lower mainland and I love it! I made this first card for my ladies group at church and I have to admit, the fall colours seemed wrong with all the sunshine! The sewing was a bit of a gong show with 15 ladies and one machine (don't ask!) but it turned out okay in the end!
The next one I made yesterday for my neighbours new baby boy. Not sure what I think about it to be honest but the little elephant redeems it for the most part.
Supplies used: Cardstock: SU Patterned: (Not sure, it was from my scrap pile!) Bling: Cuttlebug and spots and dots folder, Cricut Expression w/ All about Boy cart, ImaginesceIrock, Liquid Pearls and stickles Ranger, Buttons are random from my stash.
How easy is this! I need to make about 15 invitations for a neighbourhood halloween party for all the kids. I wanted something quick but still cute. This cut comes from the holiday Cake Cart and I love it! No extra frills required...
Supplies used: Cardstock: Georgia Pacific, SU Patterned: SU (retired) Cricut Expression and Holiday Cake Cart.
Aaah, it is so good to be back on here. My dear hubby took the kids out for the morning so I've been surrounded by nothing but silence and it's amazing! So funny how rare these moments are. Anyways, now that school is back in full swing for my oldest, and we're into a bit of a routine I'm hoping to be back here regularly.
The first card today came together quickly and I LOVE it! The paper is from Bella Blvd. So super sweet and great for girlie and boy fall layouts.
Supplies used: Cardstock: SU, Core d'nations, Georgia Pacific, Patterned: Bella Blvd, K&Company, Bling: EK Success punch, Ribbon: SU and Michaels, Marvy Scallop Punch, Cricut and Cindy Loo cart, Kaiser Kraft pearls.
The next one was the first card that I designed for the class that I'm leading at my church. I was originally going to go with a scrapbook but I decided doing something that was a bit more drop-in in nature would be better. I call this the confidence building card. Very easy and quick to put together.
Supplies used: Cardstock: SU, Patterned: Echo Park, K&Company Stamp: SU, Bling: Cuttlebug, I Rock
Hello all! We've had a crazy few weeks that have kind of turned our household upside down. Needless to say, the craftroom has been sadly neglected. Supplies used: Cardstock: georgia pacific, SU Patterned: echo park Stamps: SU and Hero Arts Bling: liquid pearls (ranger) and sewing machine.

Happy Tuesday everyone! The kidlet's are watching a movie trying to stay cool and it gave me the perfect chance to create a little something for the moxie trigger tuesday and mtsc87. I used my most favorite paper (for this week) que sera sera by K&Company. The feel went perfectly with the trigger target. Now it's off to the zoo for the afternoon. Have a great day!
Supplies used: Cardstock: SU Patterned: K&Company Stamps: Stampendous, SU Ink: SU Bling: Cricut and lacy labels, ribbon: Michaels, jewels: elmers, glitter
Well it has been another hot, hot, hot day! The heat made moving not all that appealing so you'll see the reflection of that in this simple card. Just two layers, a stamp, diecut and some jewels. Hopefully tomorrow will bring a bit of a breeze and a more involved card:)
Supplies used: Cardstock: Georgia Pacific, core'dnations, SU, Stamp and Ink: SU Bling Irock jewels, cricut and an svg cut you can find here
Good morning everyone! We had a hot night here last night and I had to force myself into my craftroom but I'm so glad I did. I played along with two different challenges. I'm still not really feeling 100% on top of my craft mojo but I did play with the new irock by imaginisce. Super fun, I already know I'll be using it a ton. So onto the cards...

Well I had to redeem myself after yesterdays flops of cards and this one is working it's way to being better. I think my issue is the stamp in this case. I thought this little girl was adorable but I just think it's really not my style. I tried to step outside my comfort zone but I think I took one step too many:) I have a bunch of ideas swirling in my head for cards today so get ready!
Anyways here are the details: Cardstock: georgia pacific Patterned: DCWV Stamp: Mo Manning Other: Copic Markers, Ribbon, button, twine
Happy Thursday everyone! I had a chance to play along with the embellish magazine's colour challenge last night. You also had to use a bird image on your card. Perfect opportunity to try out my new lacy labels cart. I'm not really thrilled with how this turned out but gotta post the bad with the good. You can go here to get the details and submit by the end of today for a chance to win their prize!
Supplies used: Cardstock: SU Pattened: SU and DCWV Bling: kaisercraft pearls, cuttlebug, liquid pearls, cricut and lacy labels.
Happy Monday everyone! I'm super pumped about this little project. I was asked by our women's ministry team if I would lead a different type of class at our Tuesday morning group. I normally lead a running group and was looking for a change so this is perfect. I'll be teaching a ten week faithbooking class. Basically this is a scrapbook that will chronicle your spiritual journey. I haven't totally decided the format but I've picked the papers and embellishments and they rock!!! The paper is K&Company's Que Sera Sera line. It is amazing, the texture and colours are so vibrant. Feathers and jewels will be everywhere. EEK! Can you tell I'm a little excited?? Anyways, here's a sneak peak at the Scrapbook and title page. Each lady will pick a bible verse or quote to start their books, this one is mine...
