CPS #161 part 2

Here's the 2nd one. I have to admit, I LOVE this one. The colours are pretty washy on the screen, but it's very rich in real life. This will be DH's father's day card from my sweet Sydney. I'm all over A Child's Year cricut cartridge lately, just can't seem to get enough of the silhouettes. For this version, I flipped the sketch on it's side. Have I mentioned that I adore DCWV paper? I just love the thickness, patterns etc... These papers are from the new natural stack. It has so many papers just begging to be used on men's cards. Hope you enjoy!

Sorry about the close-up. Not sure why it's on it's side.

Total time: 25 minutes
Supplies:
Cardstock: Ivory naturals SU
Patterned: DCWV natural stack
Die-Cut: A child's year and cricut : provocraft
Sentiment: SU
Ink: Tuxedo Black: memento, Creamy Caramel: SU

Happy Thursday!

So after a few cards, it's time to get a layout done. With three kids it's easy to get behind. I try to get one layout in a week but more often than not, I fail. One of the best ways to stay motivated with your scrapping is to participate in sketches. Today's layout was completely to the letter of this creative scrappers challenge #97. Usually I like to take a little creative liscense but it really was perfect for my picture. This is my first time doing a sketch with them but I know it will be a favorite site soon!

This is of Cade from last summer. I picked up the ricrac at fabricland for 80 cents a meter. It's so fun and I had to resist breaking the bank on all the cute fabric trims!

I also have people quite often ask how long it takes to create my projects so I've decided to add a time spent stat just for fun:)

So here's the supplies:

Cardstock: Whisper White SU, pumpkin pie, basic black, brilliant blue, green galore
Patterend: DCWV All Boy Stack
Buttons : SU
RicRac: fabricland
Rubons: SU
Scalloped Square and title: A Child's Year and my cricut of course!
White Gel Pen
Start to Finish: 35 minutes

Good Wednesday to everyone! I had a few minutes to create this afternoon and I joined in on the CPS #160 challenge. I'm really happy with how this one turned out. Pretty sure this will be my DH's Father's day card from me. The card measures 9x4.25 so it wll fit in a business envelope. I stamped the twill with a dye ink and it really just helps to add that extra touch. I hope everyone has a fabulous day.

Patterned paper: cosmo cricket, SU
Rub-on's: cosmo cricket (lil man)

CPS sketch #159

I love playing along with sketches and challenges and this is one I hope to do often. With all the pregnancies around me, I'm sure to need a baby card this summer! I just bought a sewing machine a few weeks ago to use for cards. Pretty sad that it will probably never touch fabric and my lines will most likely never be straight but I'm having a lot of fun with it:) Thanks for looking!

Cardstock SU
Cricut, new arrival and wild card carts
