CPS#202

Ok, it's confession time. I dreamt up this card sitting in our church service this morning. But I promise, I got all the important parts of the message:) It's so funny to me how you can have something sitting in a corner of your room and forget all about it. Such is the case with my flocking powders. I decided to pull them out for cps202. Here's the sketch...

And here's my card: Close-up...

 And Full size...

Supplies Used: Cardstock: Georgia Pacific; Flocking Powder: Stampendous; Rubons and  Brads: SU; Flowers: Recollections.

On another note, I've decided to put a spending freeze on my crafty stuff for six months. Did I just say that? I figure by putting it out into the blogosphere, I'll have to make good on it. Don't get me wrong, I have a fully stocked craft room but no new purchases for me. I'm 2 weeks in already and starting to feel withdrawals!

Have a great rest of your day!

Pretty much the color scheme is the only resemblence to the original. I felt creative so I parted from the sketch.  And here you have it! Here's Mercy's inspiration piece...

more for the day!

Well the upside of having a child grounded to their room is it allows for more undisturbed crafting time. Maybe I'm onto something:) This next card is eked out just in time for sssc100 I paired it up with curtaincall65.  I don't have pacific point so it's a bit of a make do situation. I've had this Heidi Swapp flower for ages and it just needed to be used here.

Supplies Used: Cardstock: SU; Patterned: DCWV retired spring stack; Ink: SU (real red, wild wasabi) ; Stamps: SU; Flower: Heidi Swapp; Lace Trim: Recollections; Rub ons: SU

So get crafting and join in the fun. The colour collection today is metallics. I used sss90 for the sketch. I wanted to stay away from a wedding card so a baby one it is. So it's getting closer to bedtime and I think it's time to call it quits for the night. My craft area saw one more creation for the day. Colour Challenge a day behind:)

Hi All! Well I'm super pumped because at long last we got a snow day! Our family has been having a blast building igloos, snowmen, and having snowball fights with the neighbourhood kids. I meant to get on this challenge over at Moxie Fab World yesterday but opted for a nap instead:) Remember to join in to win a great prize from provocraft. Who wouldn't want to win a cricut expression, gypsy, and eight carts! So this challenge was to use these subtle colors, I dug through my stampin up stash and pulled out almost amethyst, pink passion, pale plum, and pretty in pink.

Supplies used: Cardstock: SU; Ink: Stampin Up (pink passion craft); Cuttlebug and sizzix folder; martha stewart glitter; detail clear embossing powder.

Thanks for stopping by and I'm off to work on today's colour combo.... jewel tones!

Fun! Fun!

Good evening everyone. Well I'm sitting here anxiously waiting for the snow to start falling. I love the snow and living in the lower mainland you know it won't be around long. I've been watching the lamppost outside my window and nothing yet but maybe the morning will bring a winter wonderland:) Hubby is out at a meeting tonight so I got to tackle a few challenges so here we go...

First up is for cps200   I paired it with ppa76. This is the first time I've played along with pals paper arts. I'm finding that combining a sketch with a colour challenge it really allows me to focus on the details and not spend so much time picking papers etc...

Supplies used: Cardstock: SU, recollections; Patterned: DCWV and K&Company; Stamps: SU; Ink: SU (perfect plum) memento black: Ribbon: SU; Bling: Irock, cricut expression and lacy labels cart

The next card is for the celebration over at moxie fab world for their colour inspiration bold and bright challenge. Make sure you submit something for a chance to win a cricut, gypsy and eight carts!!! I paired this with the sssc99

Supplies Used: Cardstock: Close to My Heart; Bazzill, SU; Patterned: DCWV and K&Company;Stamps: amuse; Ink; SU;  Ribbon and gems: SU; lace trim: recollections; Umbrella and Circle die-cuts: Cricut Expression with George and Basic Shapes and Paisley cart; elmers paint pen

okay, off to bed! I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings:)

Saturday fun!

Good Morning, I hope everyone is enjoying their Saturdays. I got a chance to play while the kidlets watched Horton Hears a Who on netflix. Even better, I still had time to clean up my craft room! The rest of the day will be spent cleaning, cooking, playing outside while the rain has subsided etc.. All the typical mom stuff. So todays card combines GS#69 with OCC  challenge.  This came together quickly and I'm happy with the outcome. I really like this colour combo.

Supplies Used: Cardstock: Georgia Pacific, Stampin Up ; Stamps: Stampin Up; Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and white Craft Stampin Up; Lace trim and printed flower: recollections; twine, ribbon, button and chipboard tag: Stampin Up; Adhesive pearls: Dollar store

Just Peachy:)

So tonight I came across a new to me colour challenge blog. CR84FN.  Here's the challenge:

I combined it with my first sketch challenge over at Viva La Verve.

And here are the results. I loved the sketch but the colours definately gave me a challenge. Just not what I normally gravitate towards. I'm pretty happy with the results although I spent way to much time on it!

All Supplies Stampin Up unless otherwise noted: Lace: Fabric Land; Chipboard accent: K&Company; Cricut Expression with George and Cindy Loo carts; sewing machine.

Okay now off to clean the disaster that is my craft room!
Night all,
Sarah

It's Friday! It's Friday!

Howdy All (I say in perfect Chilliwack form:)) It's been raining, raining, and oh, did I mention raining? Luckily our house is holding up well to the onslaught! So even though it's been a busy and rainy day I still managed to get this card in while the kidlets were eating there breakfast.  Honestly it came together in about 15 minutes and I LOVE it! This is for both the grey is the new black challenge over at Moxie Fab World and for sfyttjanuary. Onto the deets...

Paper: SU; Patterned: Basic Grey and Bo Bunny; Stamp: SU; Ink: SU and Memento; Bling: Cricut expression with Lacy Labels cart; pearls: dollar store; Flowers: Recollections

Hoping to play tonight so this might not be the last of me for today!

Have a great one,
Sarah
