How about a Canadian Blog Hop!

For those of you who don't know I'm a proud canuck from the lovely Chilliwack BC:) I found Jacqueline's blog this week and she is running a blog hop for all our "local" (think Canada!) until March 2nd. So if you're a Canadian crafter with a fantabulous blog then head on over here for all the details. Find some wonderful new inspiration and have a chance to be interviewed on her blog! Thanks Jacqueline for the great idea!

Case Study and Play Date Mash Up!

What's up peeps? (yes I should be in bed long before now so I'm not to be hold responsible for any lame jabber.) So how fun is it that the Play Date Cafe hooked up with Case Study for a dual challenge! I went to a copic class today and was dying to play a little more with my markers so I chose this little guy.  Not totally sure I should be crafting this late at night but I think he turned out all right.  I coloured the ribbon with the copic markers as well as the frogger.

Cardstock: Recollections, Copic
Patterned: DCWV
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics
Stamps: Stampin Up
Pearls: Recollections

Too sick to craft? Never!

Well it's time I admit that I've been struck down with the same nasty cold that has plagued my family for the last few weeks. Today has been particularly sucky but I'm done sitting on the couch so I ventured upstairs to my crafty home. Today's card is a combo of two challenges.  First up is inkspirations sketch 57 I combined that with the technique fun going on over at Moxie Fab World. Today's challenge was to use ink  shimmer sprays.
Here's the sketch...

And here's my take...

This seems a lot darker in the photos than it actually is.  For the main image. I first stamped the outline of the flowers in black ink. Next I stamped the solid flower image over top of the outlines in versamark. I embossed with clear detail embossing powder. Lastly I spritzed on some glimmer mist by tattered angels.

Supplies used:
Cardstock: SU
Patterned: K&Company
Stamps: SU
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Ribbon, Square Brads: SU
Pearl paint: Smooch by clearsnap
Spellbinders die
Sewing Machine

Hope you all feel better than me!

OCC

Baah, our house has been hit by this nasty cold that just won't leave. I've survived but have lost my voice. For those of you who know me, you can imagine how quiet it is around here:) Tending to sickies though has stifled the craft time so far this week. I was lucky to pump out this card quickly last night for the branch out challenge over at occ. You have to use not only a branch or tree image but also keep the card clean and simple. So here's what I came up with...

Supplies Used:
Cardstock: Georgia Pacific, SU, and Recollections
Patterned: DCWV
Tree die-cut: Cricut Expression and Just Because Cards cart
Pearls: dollar store
Rub-on: SU
Sewing machine and thread

Now off to run some errands and then DH is watching the kidlets for me so I can have some crafty time this afternoon:)

Thanks for popping over!

Our Creative Corner 3D challenge

Happy Friday All! Wow, what a pleasant surprise I got when I checked my dashboard this morning. I was picked as the top card over at Our Creative Corner and that means I'll get to guest design on an upcoming challenge! How cool is that! I'm so pumped to have them be my first ever badge of honour:) It's fitting then that the project I worked on was for a challenge of theirs:) This is for the valentines 3D challenge.. I made this as a sample for my DS's class valentines but it might be a touch to labour intensive to pump out about 30 of these! I do think this little monster is to die for though!

Thanks for stopping in and I have a feeling the craft room hasn't seen the last of me today!
