This weekends work...

Whoever said these are the lazy days of summer hasn't been over to our place lately:) Between birthdays, gymnastic camps, day camps, playdates, meetings and on and on, I've been running out of steam by 7:30 just in time to watch a little wipe out. I did these projects over the weekend and am just now getting around to posting them. I'll be making the party favours for my dear Syd's 4th birthday today or tomorrow so I'll make sure to get those posted when I do. Hope everyone else is having a fantastic summer too!

So on to our projects! This is yet another card from the JBC series and by my count it's #30 so get ready for a little blog candy over the next few days! I cut this at 5 inches and used some new paper from the DCWV all about girls stack. The colour is much more vibrant IRL. My favorite thing about this cut is that the polka dot paper actually wraps around to the back so the whole card really looks nicely finished. There's a beautiful glitter to the dots as well but the camera failed to pick that up.

Supplies Used: Cardstock: SU very vanilla, basic black, rose red Patterned: DCWV

Next is a layout for creative scrappers sketch113 I'm a week late and a dime short but I loved the sketch and can't wait to get onto this weeks!

Supplies used: Cardstock: SU sierra sand, mellow moss, buckaroo blue, bordering blue, always artichoke, kraft Bling: SU distressing tool, Glimmer mist in coffee shop, smooch spritz in emerald sprinkle, glimmer mist stencils, adriondack acrylic paint in sailboat blue, SU alphabet set

Last up is a super quick layout using the cricut Graphically Speaking Cart. This is one of the reasons I love the size of the expression machine. I cut the alpha block on page 36 of the handbook. That's pretty much all there is to this layout. Easy and pretty.

Supplies Used: Adorable girl: Sydney Cardstock: SU pixie pink Patterned: Me and My Big Ideas school stack, Cricut and Graphically speaking cart, Flower and bling: totally forgot but really pretty!
Have a great day everyone!

My Chore Chart

Good Morning! So today's project was inspired by my friend in Regina who has a chore schedule for her two oldest kids. I was amazed at how great they were at doing their jobs so I decided to make a chore chart for my kidlets. I tried without success to find the cricut lite chore chart cart so I had to make do with what I had. Here's what I came up with...

The circles are cut at 2 and 1/4 inches and I used a hole punch for the holes. Most of the images except for the paper dolls are made using real dial size at 1 and 3/4 inches to ensure a proper fit. I was really impressed with how well the little dolls cut out. These are for getting dressed in the morning.
A few others... The bear is for picking up toys...

And the finished project. This is on the inside of my pantry door. I used white contact paper for the writing and the three columns are for morning, afternoon and night chores. This project took about two hours from start to finish and I love it!

Supplies used: Cardstock: SU Patterned: SU, DCWV, little yellow bicycle Cricut and the following carts: A Child's Yeat, Sesame Street and Friends, Every Day Paper Dolls, Alphaliscious , self adhesive hooks from dollar store and contact brand shelf liner
Have a great day!

Hello blog world!

Hi everyone, I hope that wherever you are you're enjoying all the sunshine that we've been blessed with! I have to say it's such a priviledge to be able to be a stay at home mom. These summer days have been so much fun for our family. Unfortunately that's translated to less time in my craft room but that will be remedied tonight. In the meantime however, I made these colouring books for all the kidlets of the families we stayed with on our holiday. They were super quick to make and the kids had fun with them. Hope you enjoy and we'll see you tomorrow!

Hello from Glorious Regina Saskatchewan

Well I neglected to mention that our family is off on a much anticipated family vacation until the 15th. I have one project to show for my time away but I'll put that up on Monday. Until then, I hope everyone has a great start to summer holidays!
