CPS #160

Good Wednesday to everyone! I had a few minutes to create this afternoon and I joined in on the CPS #160 challenge. I'm really happy with how this one turned out. Pretty sure this will be my DH's Father's day card from me. The card measures 9x4.25 so it wll fit in a business envelope. I stamped the twill with a dye ink and it really just helps to add that extra touch. I hope everyone has a fabulous day.

Cardstock SU: craft, close to cocoa, core'dinations
Patterned paper: cosmo cricket, SU
Rub-on's: cosmo cricket (lil man)
twill ribbon (SU)

Cuttlebug Be inspired Challenge...

So to deal with potty training a 2 year old, I stepped away from reality and made another card today. . This is for the cuttlebug challenge blog's be inspired #77 challenge. The point is to make an easter card or project and to use the cuttlebug on it of course. I'd like to say this card came together in a snap but it took way more effort than comes across. Sometimes, nothing seems to work together and that was the case with this one.

I did have fun making the flower. My first time with glimmer mist and I really like the effect. I then passed it through my cuttlebug and voila! A very quick and easy way to dress up a prima.

Supplies:

Cardstock Stampin Up
DCWV Spring Stack (retired)
Satin Ribbon
Grosgrain Ribbon (SU)
Pearls (kaisercraft)
Sentiment Michaels dollar acrylic stamp.
dimensionals
prima flower
glimmer mist
button
text on flower (SU)
cuttlebug/ divine swirls folder

CPS sketch #159

I love playing along with sketches and challenges and this is one I hope to do often. With all the pregnancies around me, I'm sure to need a baby card this summer! I just bought a sewing machine a few weeks ago to use for cards. Pretty sad that it will probably never touch fabric and my lines will most likely never be straight but I'm having a lot of fun with it:) Thanks for looking!

hmm. looks pretty boring....

Okay well my offical first post and I have to say that my blog looks pretty boring. I'll have to figure out a way to spice it up but considering I'm pretty computer illiterate, it may take awhile. I've worked on an anniversary card that I'll post tomorrow. My goal is to post 3 projects a week so we'll see how that goes!
